元朗亞美狗隻收容所的220隻狗中的約180隻,可能很快將送交愛協毁滅,自去年10月多個狗場告急,曾作全面籌集資源,希望可幫牠們渡過難關,可惜所托非人,而受托的動物組織CAH至今未能完全把善款運用於狗場之中,而亞美至今衹接受了CAH約8萬餘的資助,但其它所籌得捐款大都下落不明更未有詳細交代, CAH竟聲言想查數就除非告佢,狗場因被CAH斷絕援助,240隻狗狗即時首當其首衝 ,至今亞美求助無門萬念俱灰下,為有忍下痛心放棄部份狗狗,在這唯望有心人盡量收養, 祈望最後要被人道的狗狗减至最少,有意協助亞美或收養者可直接聯絡亞美6027-68 28。
本人BONNIE剛直接打過電話給狗場付責人MAY姐了解, 他們的狗隻每月大慨要要食百幾包狗糧, 開支都是水電費. 亦十分需要義工的幫助去照顧狗隻...
佢唔係好願意直按接受現金支助, 因為之前的事件弄得很糟. 她現正急需要狗糧, 牌子是DOG CHOW (因狗狗多年食慣) 及 康濤杜虫藥 (太貴無經費已多時沒有再買)的捐助. 狗糧一包$145/ 15.4KG, 杜虫藥$120一包. 可於她相熟的"德記" 購買 (TEL: 24770403) 或自行購買. 有問題可直按聯絡MAY姐 (TEL: 60276828)
220 dogs in the yuen long dog shelter faces dead end
With the lack of funding, May only hopes that sympathetic owners can give a hand in adopting the animals and help reduce the number of dogs to be euthanised
I have contacted May and she told me that in order to sustain the shelter, on top of the basic overhead, the dogs will need around 120 bags of food per month and volunteers will be needed to care for the animals. May also stated that she would prefer not to receive cash donations as this only makes things complicated. At the moment, the shelter is in serious shortage of dog food and could no longer afford anti-worm medications. If any compassionate animal lovers can give a hand, details of the items are as follow:
